Your teapot/serving stand is painted on wood or mdf. Acrylic Paints are layered using fluidart techniques, and then the completed piece is coated in heat resistant resin. A cork backing is applied to some pieces to add further protection for your table and ease of use.
Teapot stand
Each piece is coated in heat resistant resin, creating a beautiful finish. Hot cups and dishes can be placed on the piece, but not direct from the oven. The stone coat resin I use is designed to temporarily handle temperatures up to 450C or 220C, but it is best not to put anything that hot on it for any length of time – your tea, coffee or serving dish should be fine!
The heat-resistant resin requires up to three weeks to be fully cured. Please note the date your piece was resined before placing hot items on your art work.
